Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 July 2026
BamFleet ("the app", "we", "us") is an unofficial client for your own BambuLab printer fleet via a BamBuddy server. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with.
1. Data you control on your own server
To connect to your printers, BamFleet stores your BamBuddy server address and API key (or username, depending on your auth method) locally on your device. This information is sent only to the BamBuddy server you configure, in order to communicate with your own printers. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party, and we have no access to it.
2. Crash and diagnostic data (Sentry)
BamFleet uses Sentry to automatically capture crash reports and diagnostic information when the app encounters an error, so we can identify and fix bugs. This may include:
- Stack traces and error messages
- Device model, operating system version, and app version
- Approximate location derived from IP address (used only for aggregate crash statistics; we do not use it to track you)
- App usage context immediately surrounding the crash (e.g. which screen was active)
This data does not include your BamBuddy server address, API key, or printer/filament data.
3. Feedback you submit (Sentry User Feedback)
If you choose to submit a bug report or feedback from within the app, that submission — including any message, name or email address you provide, and any screenshot you attach — is sent to us via Sentry. We use this solely to investigate and respond to the issue you reported.
4. How we use this information
Crash and feedback data is used only to diagnose bugs, improve app stability, and respond to the reports you send us. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.
5. Third-party processors
Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) processes crash and feedback data on our behalf. Their handling of this data is governed by the Sentry Privacy Policy.
6. Data retention
Crash reports and feedback submissions are retained in Sentry for a limited period sufficient to investigate and resolve issues, after which they are deleted in line with Sentry's standard retention settings.
7. Children's privacy
BamFleet is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Security
Your server address and API key are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage protections. Diagnostic data sent to Sentry is transmitted over encrypted connections.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
10. Contact
